benem ozračju, kjer se zdi, kot da so feministične ideje odveč, se razvijajo
enodimenzionalni diskurzi o spolni razliki v izobraževalnih dosežkih, ki
so pogosto nezadostno premišljeni in neutemeljeni. V izbranih virih smo
analizirali diskurze o spolni razliki v izobraževalnih dosežkih. Ugotovi-
li smo, da so v izobraževanju prisotni trije dominantni diskurzi o spolu, ki
temeljijo na štirih najpogostejših utemeljitvah. Namesto zaključka smo ob-
likovali nekaj smernic za pedagoško delo, ki naj bo pozorno na vprašanja
spolne enakosti.

»Good girls and smart boys«: an analysis of popular
discourses on the educational achievements of female
and male students
Two trends are evident in the field of education recently. The first is a re-
sult of neoliberal interventions in education and is centred around the in-
tensive focus on measuring achievements and international standardised
test scores. The second trend, an outcome of postfeminist spirit pervading
society, involves questions about gender inequality in educational achieve-
ment and is characterized by paying particular attention to unsuccessful
boys. This is partly because many interpret girls’ success in international
standardised tests as evidence that gender equality in education has been
achieved (or even surpassed). A social climate in which feminist ideas are
becoming redundant is a perfect environment for a creation of one-di-
mensional discourses about gender difference in educational achievement,
which are often unfounded and inadequately reflected. The discourses
present in a few selected sources have been analysed. Three dominant dis-
courses about gender in education and four main rationales for them have
been identified. Instead of end discussion, some guidelines for gender sen-
sitive pedagogical practice have been proposed.

Novi izzivi na področju izobraževanja varnostnega osebja?
V letu 2013 smo pričeli z izvajanjem projekta Kompetenčni center za iz-
obraževanje varnostnega osebja. Raziskava, ki smo jo za potrebe projek-
ta izvedli in je v osnovi temeljila na dostopni literaturi s tega področja, je
bila fokusirana na identificiranje manjka kompetenc zaposlenih. V raziska-
vo smo vključili 13,5 % vseh zaposlenih v 16-ih partnerskih zasebno varno-
stnih družbah ter predavatelje in člane izpitnih komisij. Na podlagi prido-
