especially new modes of EU governance and cooperation in the field of
education policy. In that framework she has devoted special attention to
the role international comparative assessment studies play in development
of Slovenian education policies and practices and the development of evi-
dence-based education. She coordinates preparation of scientific bases in
the European project TITA (Team cooperation to fight early school leaving,
Training, Innovative Tools and Actions).
Maša Vidmar je doktorica psiholoških znanosti, docentka za psihologi-
jo in kot znanstvena sodelavka zaposlena na Pedagoškem inštitutu. Razi-
skovalno se ukvarja predvsem s socialnimi in čustvenimi vidiki učenja in
poučevanja (odnosna kompetentnost učiteljev, socialni in osebnostni ra-
zvoj otrok in mladostnikov), predšolsko vzgojo ter dejavniki učne uspeš-
nosti. Vključena je v različne mednarodne in nacionalne projekte (zgodnje
opuščanje šolanja, prehod iz vrtca v šolo, socialne in državljanske kompe-
tence strokovnih delavcev, socialne in čustvene spretnosti za nediskrimi-
natorno in vključujočo družbo), sodeluje pa tudi pri pripravah poročil o
slovenskem izobraževalnem sistemu v mednarodnih institucijah oz. mre-
žah za edukacijsko raziskovanje (npr. OECD, Eurydice).
Maša Vidmar is assistant professor and works at Educational Research In-
stitute as scientific associate. Her research interests include social and emo-
tional aspects of learning and teaching (teachers’ relational competence,
social and personality development in childhood and adolescence), early
childhood education and care (ECEC), and determinants of academic achi-
evement. She is involved in several international and national projects (early
school leaving, transition from ECEC to school, perception of knowledge
in knowledge-based society, social and civic competences of staff in educa-
tion, social and emotional skills for tolerant and non-discriminative soci-
eties) as well as in preparation of reports on Slovenian education system in
permanent networks of international educational research (e.g. OECD, Eu-
rydice).
Valerija Vendramin je doktorica ženskih študij, zaposlena pa je kot višja
znanstvena sodelavka na Pedagoškem inštitutu v Ljubljani. Med njenimi
raziskovalnimi področji so edukacijske študije, ženske študije in femini-
stična teorija ter kulturne študije (v tem okviru se ukvarja s problematiko,
ki zadeva konceptualizacijo spolne razlike, kurikulum in feministične kri-
tike znanosti oz. epistemološka vprašanja).
Valerija Vendramin, PhD in Women’s Studies, is a senior research associate
at the Educational Research Institute in Ljubljana. Among her current re-
