Jelena Pavičić Vukičević
is a Deputy Mayor of the city of Zagreb for social services. She received
her doctoral degree in the Department of Pedagogy of the University of
Zagreb. As part of the autumn and spring educational activities of the
Croatian Pedagogical and Literary Assembly, she moderates panel discus-
sions titled Child at Risk, covering current topics related to the recogni-
tion and prevention of violence among children and within a family, me-
dia images of a child and other current topics. She holds the position of
an External Associate at the Faculty of Kinesiology of the University of
Zagreb.

Sonja Pečjak
je redna profesorica pedagoške psihologije na Oddelku za psihologi-
jo Filozofske fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani. Raziskovalno se ukvarja z
raziskovanjem psihologije branja in pismenosti (razvoj zgodnjih bralnih
sposobnosti, bralna motivacija in bralno učne strategije), s procesi samo-
regulacijskega učenja, medvrstniškim nasiljem v šolah in s procesom ka-
riernega odločanja pri šolskem svetovanju. Je avtorica številnih znan-
stvenih in strokovnih monografij, med drugim tudi knjige Medvrstniško
nasilje v šoli (2014, 2015). Je oz. je bila nosilka oz. sodelavka v številnih raz-
iskovalnih projektih, med drugim tudi v projektu »Varni brez nasilja«
(2017–2019) v okviru ISA instituta.

Sonja Pečjak
works as a professor of educational psychology at the Faculty of Arts of
University of Ljubljana. Her research interest are the psychology of rea-
ding and literacy (development of early reading skills, reading motivati-
on and reading strategies for learning), the processes of self-regulated le-
arning, school bullying and process by career decision making in school
guidance. She published numerous scientific and academic books and ar-
ticles, School bullying (2014, 2015) being one of them. She engaged in vari-
ous research projects, among them in the project »Safe without violence«
(2017–2019) led by ISA institute.
