povzetki
Universities have to become what they ought to be
Signs indicating which way Slovenian universities have been taking to set
and meet their social roles, give grounds for serious concern. Universities
have been predominantly yielding to aggressive (neoliberal, financial-ca
pitalistic) logic of the market, according to which—as a university teacher
or a researcher—every individual is supposed to be worth only as much as
the amount of money they are able to procure with their work in the mar
ket. Universities do not seek or claim autonomy even in those organizati
onal or working areas where it would be possible or even highly necessa
ry for them to do so. Academic professionals are lacking the focus on the
content and ethics of working processes in universities. Instead they have
been become passive and apathetic slaves of robotised technocratic dehu
manisation. Also because of this universities have been considerably fai
ling to take care of the education of critically thinking citizens, of mo
ral personalities and courageous civilian intellectuals empowered with
authentic and quality knowledge. This has to change. Immediately.
Key words: Universities, academic ethics, academic subordination to neo
-liberal market logic, knowledge – as a value, democracy.

Vloga znanja o staranju pri oblikovanju stališč mladih
do starejših ljudi

oblikovanjem negativnih stališč do starejših.
o staranju pogosteje negativen odnos do starejših. V ta namen avtorici iz
postavljata pomen vključevanja gerontoloških vsebin v vse stopnje vzgoje
in izobraževanja.
Ključne besede: znanje o staranju, mladi, odnos do starejših, starejši, age
