moral education show a more complex relationship between the individu­
al and society. The moral of an individual goes is not a matter of his choi­
ce, as it regulates relations between individuals, but on the other hand its
existence depends on individuals since it exists as a social institution in a
society only if it is accepted by its members. So it seems that the relation
to morality has a performative dimension, which means that our attitude
to morality changes morality itself. The primary goal of moral education
is thus not inculcation of existing social moral norms; the goal of moral
education is to establish a specific attitude towards it, namely the attitude
that morality is our common responsibility.

Pomen moralne teorije za etično vzgojo

Prispevek se ukvarja z vprašanjem pomena in vloge moralne teorije pri
etični vzgoji. Osrednji problem lahko zamejimo tudi nekoliko ožje in v
tem smislu zadeva vprašanje vloge moralne teorije v okviru profesionalne­
ga izobraževanja in usposabljanja učiteljev ter ostalih vzgojiteljev. Sodob­
ni pristopi k etični vzgoji ter s tem tudi k izobraževanju in usposabljanju
zanjo namreč poudarjajo pomen integrativnih modelov in pristopov, pri
čemer pa vprašanje moralne teorije znotraj njih ni bilo posebej osvetljeno.
Namen tega prispevka je tako sestavljen iz več gradnikov ter sledi nasle­
dnjemu vrstnemu redu. Najprej prispevek kratko uvede in pojasni, na kaj
merimo in kako lahko razumemo etično vzgojo, nakar sledi razmislek o
pristopih k njej. V naslednjem koraku je kratko zarisano polje moralne te­
orije, v sklepnem delu pa je sintetično osvetljena vloga moralne teorije pri
etični vzgoji. Podrobneje je pomen moralne teorije pojasnjen glede vpra­
šanj, povezanih z zamišljenimi moralnimi dilemami, ter v zvezi z uporabo
miselnih poskusov v okviru etične vzgoje.

The Role of Moral Theory for Ethical Education

Abstract: The article deals with the question of the importance and role
of moral theory in ethical education. The central problem is a bit narrower
in this regard, and it concerns the issue of the role of moral theory in the
context of professional education and training of teachers and other edu­
cators. Modern approaches to ethical education, and thus to education
and training, emphasize the importance of integrative models and me­
