Tudi sama internacionalizacija je namreč kompleksen in spremenljiv
koncept, zato do danes še niso bili razviti univerzalni standardi, ki bi omo-
gočali njeno ocenjevanje znotraj različnih visokošolskih kontekstov (Be-
erkens et al., 2010). De Boer et al. (2012) so zato zastavili pomembno vpra-
šanje: ali tudi v prihodnje razvijati ločene modele ocenjevanja in merjenja
kakovosti internacionalizacije ali jih vključiti znotraj rednih postopkov za-
gotavljanja kakovosti (ibid., 50).
