holders in the educational process were prepared and piloted. Additional-
ly, focus groups with some headteachers were carried out. Statistical analy-
ses (descriptive statistics, t-tests) were performed using IBM SPSS Statistics
27, and qualitative data from focus groups were analyzed using targeted
content analysis. In this paper the focus is on the state-of-the-art of profes-
sional cooperation and joint learning among Slovenian headteachers only.
On the basis of the findings and identified challenges recommendations for
systemic strengthening of professional cooperation and learning of head-
teachers are proposed.
