3.1.2. Initial training of core practitioners in the topics of special
and inclusive education
The initial education requirements (mainly ISCED 6; ISCED 5 for the Ad-
vanced technicians in preschool education in Spain and ISCED 7 for Kin-
dergarten teachers in Italy), the titles of the training programmes and sub-
jects covering Special and inclusive education in the initial education for
the core staff in the ECEC in the selected countries can be seen in Table 6.
