bljana, Slovenia. One part of his work
was studies on Johann G. Fichte's phi-
losophy of subjectivity and he published
the book Subject of Freedom in 1987. The
other part of his life’s work comprises of
journalism, educational research, aes-
thetics, political studies and film theo-
ry. Film studies and film criticism made
an important part of his work through-
out his career during which he published
a book on Melodrama in the Slovenian
language and over a hundred journal ar-
ticles, many book chapters and dozens of
conference papers.
